Oh…Happy Thanksgiving!

Richard and Simba Congratulate Melinche…
…who was just voted Pet of the Week here in Groove Land. Melinche was rescued as a tiny kitten one rainy night after her mother may have dropped her. I heard her wails and went out in the really wet dark goo of la noche and brought her into our Groove Scene. She hid in the closet for eight long months…had four kittens out of wedlock..had a lesbian affair with Cielo…now kinda dates Sueño…and is becoming weirdly friendly. In this photo she had not quite realized that Simba was on the couch also…so we had to shoot this fast while voting…we have such a rich life here with our brood….We love them all!
Presidential Electoral Results Effect Our Lives…
…here in Mexico, exclusively at Casa Las Ranas. Where the Democratic Vicory in the recent election up North…brought Obama to the head of the class. The brood of rescued burros here at our funk petdom have again garnered Pet of the Week Honors reflecting the Democratic Upheaval…Let's hear it for our girls!
OK…Where Have I Been…
…well obviously I have not been religiously typing blog entries. What can I say…it has been a busy time coupled with the euphoria of Obama's election. I have been in cosmic negotiation with Jimmy Ray about Chapel and artistic matters. A full account will appear shortly after I talk with Richard upon his return on Saturday…this may or may not sound mysterious, however, a major change in Museo-direction is in the works….Did one ever notice that Muse and Museum share the same root? Is a museum a jail for muses? Are muses jail keepers for artists? Is there a current of change running through this posting? Stay tuned as the Mystery sorts itself out. One thing is for certain, I will not be coloring my hair orange…purple maybe…but not orange….
A First…
…in the Pet of the Week Award here at Casa las Ranas, the home of all that is totally groovy and Improvised. This week's award goes to Lolita Valianos…one of our favorite people and a true member of our family. Without the valiant efforts of Lolita…Barak Obama would just be a postscript in American History. However, Lolita, nee Lovee, rose to the occasion and got out the vote which tipped the election in Barak's favor. Congrats to Lolita. We now request that Lolita do something about the Mormon haters who for some reason can't keep out of other people's bizness. I mean, who do they think they are defining marriage? Look at their track record…I go on record to say that Christianity has done more harm to this planet than any other religion. And as old Bhagwan himself said: Religion is Bondage…Be a Light Unto Yourself…
Danger Lurks….
….it is important not to forget on this day of jubilation that there is a large group of people in the US that voted for McCain. Also in California, a supposed Blue State, a majority voted to suspend the Civil Rights of Gay men and women and voted to outlaw Gay Marriage. Those are Richard's and my Civil Rights! I once heard that if you fuck with the truck, you may get run over…but if you dick with the queer you get blown out of town. Wake up America! Let us not get lulled into believing that our Fight for Human Rights of all people has been met…here is a photo of some White voters showing their dejection in McCain's loss…stay tuned…stay awake…stay free…
