…well somebody stole my ipod and the player from my studio. It is a Mystery, especially after the disappearance of my Canon G-10 last summer. Inside job? I sure hope not. Maybe some thief has a key to the studio and knows when we are not home…anyhow, I still have my original ipod and rumor has it that a purple ipod Nano is heading this way as I write. Living in Mexico has its drawbacks…there is such a division between classes…I just shake my head and remember something I learned in Pune ages ago…allow then allow and allow some more…and remember where I tethered my camel…breathing…breathing Life….

So Far Today…
…I have worked in the stuio, made breakfast, had coffee, avoided Facebook, spoke on the telephone, cleaned up dog vomit in the studio, brushed my teeth, sat in the garden, made decisions about work at the Chapel Site, washed my face, done laundry, ate a tamale, hugged our cat, fed the cats, loved the dogs, pulled a weed, cleaned up mouse remains in the bathroom, painted in the studio, watched a DVD, talked to Richard…that kind of stuff…what does the rest of the day behold?
Carlos is the Man!
My assistant, Carlos Ramirez Galvan, was elected the #2 Delegado for our lil' village of LaCieneguita. That means that he will be a representative for his pueblo in San Miguel. This is so absolutely cool. He is a brilliant artist and a true friend. I am absolutely proud of him. He supports a wife, five boys, and a daughter. People have seen his work at our house and his mosaics are showing up all over San Miguel. He honed his craft here while working at Casa de Las Ranas. Included is a photo of Carlos with some of his sons and two relations…Carlos has the "Mexico" tee shirt on in this photo…Way to go, Carlos!
