Some of you dear ones may need to know the above astrological information to better communicate with the pictured multi- personalicized individual in this photograph. He is basically a really nice guy…I mean guys. Some of you may think that this is a photo of both self-styled artist Anado McLauchlin and his mysterious muse, Jimmy Ray. I will have to leave you to your speculation. However, Anado did report that he had a spectacular day yesterday, even though he slipped into the mainstream of Suburban America and went to the Indiana Jones flick. Please keep this information confidential…Love to all!
When I’m 61
As I follow Lolita into my Autumn Years…even though she is way ahead of me…I follow her golden glow…and though I will never be a Soccer Mom…I can relate to Love…and Love is what surrounds me. Today…Richard, Pritama, Stephen, and I are heading up to Napa to the Quixote Winery which is the only Hundertwasser designed structure in the United States. This should be fun…so I will take a few photos for all to see. Love to everyone!
Moving Into and Through Myself
You have to get out of your own way and make room for the natural groove. Trusting that Existence is overflowing…that kind of thing. Tomorrow I will be 61 years old. I am quite grateful for this milestone. To have been given so much continually still astounds me. I am excited about going home to Mexico on Monday…get back to work…be with the animals…get the house ready for Richard's return.
I’m Not Modern
It’s Not Stealing…
…it's pollination. I mentioned that I was at the deYoung yesterday stealing ideas for my art. Actually I was in a cross pollination experiment with appreciation and criticism. Yes…that sounds more humane…However, I believe Picasso said that every good artist is a good thief…there is some hit and miss in that statement…there was some work there by a woman named Jane Hammond that i really enjoyed…I do know this: museums are a bit mausoleum-esque….is that a word? I felt Jane Hammond's stuff gave some luster to the deYoung mausoleum….so I payed my respect and genuflected as I fled into Golden Gate Park.
Anado Went a Walkin’
I went to the Palace of the Legion of Honor today to see the Annie Leibowitz Show…I think that is how you spell her name. I took a bus and walked part of the way to visit the deYoung Museum…I just wondered around in there for awhile, there were millions of school children there and their energy level just ruins the ambiance…however, the children are being exposed to Art…who is to say. Lolita would say that it is great, cuz she really loves kids…I dig kids…but not hordes of them storming museum walls when I am trying to steal ideas for my art! Museums are collections of stolen ideas..bouncing off of white walls and dosen heads….So after the deYoung, I took some forgotten paths to the Haight. I passed shopping cart homes of the street people that populate the entrance to Golden Gate Park. I was reminded of an acid trip 41 years ago when I was mesmorized by a broken jar of Smuckers Strawberry Jam on the asphalt path that I was a walkin' down today….I walked down Haight Street, somewhat briskly…I bought some paint and headed towards Divisidaro…I caught this shot of Mickey Mouse before getting on the bus that took me to the Castro and a fairly boring sandwich in a Deli across from Cliff's Hardware Store….It was a good walk today. I am brimming with ideas…That I love!
