This fellow named Joe Gutowski who is a film maker from New York has made a documentary moving picture about Jimmy Ray, Casa Las Ranas, and myself. He shot the footage last April during the week of the Chapel groundbreaking. He has sent me a very finished rough cut of the movie called “Old Ways’. The title is very appropriate once you see the film. He is hoping to get the final cut in some film festivals which would be tremendous. Jimmy Ray and I are very enthusiastic about this work of Joe’s(“cuz we are in it!( smile)). Hey Joe (cudos to Jimi Hendrix), good work!!! But let’s not forget about Hurricane Dean which has been downgraded to a Type 1 Hurricane. Ummmm…like it’s heading this way, Dude….and like it’s totally awesome to have a visitor from the skies with such magnitude. I will report more. This is Anado McLauchlin reporting from La Cieneguita, Mexico…”back to you, Jimmy Ray in the Channel 11 News Groove……

Really Cool people
It seems the happenings here at the house attract some really cool people. Today, during a rainstorm, Dianne from Casa Luna brought out this delightful couple: Cary Jobe and Jay Park. Cary is a photographer for I believe a magazine called Southern Something or Other. She was photographing San Miguel for that magazine. Jay is an computer engineer from Colorado. I wanted to get their photo for the blog. I took the photo with Photo Booth on this little Mac here (not a PC, of course). She may come back one day and photograph the house. Really cool people…I liked them…alot…. as Dan from Nashville would say.
Well, Let’s Try This
On my birthday this past May, Lolita took some photos of me. We sought out this secluded park in the Mission District of San francisco. A particularly gifted mosaic team has constructed a very lovely serpant for children and adults to marvel in the round….and I HAD to see it. We got some great shots. Thanks, Lolita. Due to the fact that Lolita has a PC and not a mac ( I still don’t understand why progessive people support Bill Gates)…the photos were delayed for PC repair and such. Before I forget….I’m not perfect and all of us have our little burps in progression. Besides the fact that Bill Gates voted for George Bush and Microsoft IS part of the Military Industrial Complex that keeps us in Iraq…I forgive Lolita and any of you for not using a mac….Smile… I mean… I did vote for Eldridge Cleaver in ’68. All of this is of course: tongue in cheek. In my case, more tongue than chic, I mean cheek.
Continuation
Life has been interesting lately. I am working on some small paintings as an experiment in money-making. In 11 days we are off to Barcelona, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna, Berlin and Istanbul. It is all very exciting. Life continues to unfold in its grooviness and suprise. The Chapel will be unfolding big time when we return in September…..Life is good!
I Go to the Feet of the Awakened One
Skookum, our totally groovy cat, has found solice on one of the art pieces (The Unknown). Maybe she can teach me something. Funding is brewing for the Chapel…we await Jimmy Ray’s legacy……keep your fingers crossed as I try to learn something about trust, patience, and waiting from Skookum, The Totally Groovy Absolutely Awakened Cat
Is That a Thong?
What is it I am wearing? Why am I waiting on the floor of this life putting off my ascension to rightful Buddha Nature? Where will I be when my ship comes in? Or better yet…when that trumpet sounds… will I kvel in rapture and pure indigo goo goo? I want to know…cuz…I gotta know. Is that a thong I am wearing, Lolita, or do you still read this blog since your Bill Gates inspired machine went koo koo? (I told her to get a Mac).
