…has led us to this divine companion. His name is Sueño (Dream) and he is the brother of Cielo (Sky) our cat queen. Sueño is this weeks Pet of the Week. We love him with all our hearts and and his extremely groovy Buddha Nature emanates silently and wondrously. If you ever need a lesson in Re-Grooving, Sueño, would be happy to sit near you and a magical translation of wisdom and myth will be given to you…no strings attached….non attachment is the key…

Wheels and the Chapel…
…down below on our property at the Chapel of Jimmy Ray site….the gallery or Chapel of Jimmy Ray is beginning to really take some important shape….doors and windows are being installed in their raw yet definitive form…tile work…the fountain…hopefully by April 1, 2011 we will be dedicating the Chapel of Jimmy Ray…the Gallery will open officially…as I see it….this will always be a work in progress. I am so extremely grateful for all the help that I have been given by friends and workers and especially Richard for his insight and willingness to be my co-conspirator…and I bow down to the infinite Mystery that led us here….Gracias a la Vida and congrats to Wheels, our divine Alpha Female Dog Groover who is this week's Pet of the Week!!!!
ChicoChe….
…Beloved ChicoChe…the lowest on our cat totem pole is this week's Pets of the Week winner…I know…there is no highest or lowest, but let's just say ChicoChe does not avail himself for much mutual contact with Richard and I…he was born in the closet and is still a bit of a closet case. We love him…every so often he allows us to pet him for about 15 seconds. However, ChicoChe is a defined honorary member of this Groove Scene and he is loved dearly…the package is on its way to Baltimore…Life is good and we are enjoying these July rains!!!!!
Please Mr. Postman….
…deliver the large package that I am sending from San Miguel de Allende, Mexico to Baltimore, Maryland in the US…the content inside is a small child's chair….it's meant for an exhibition at the American Visionary Art Museum…I had a glorious time making it and I wish for the journey north to be just as glorious and safe…Richard and I are doing good…we could certainly use a bit more rain here in the high country South of the US Border…but no tropical storms, please. I have heard of the chaos that Hurricane Alex left in his wake when he washed ashore in Northern Mexico and all the destruction from the torrents of rain and wind….Goddess, bless my package…Safe passage!
Rowing through the Groove…
…I may have said this before…Anne Sexton had a book of poems years ago called "That Awful Rowing Toward God"…I can relate, Anne, but I don't stop at "awful"…first of all, if you don't believe in the global myth called "God"….and you can tune into something a bit cozier and less distant called "godliness"…and include one's self in this "godliness"…well by then you have taken responsibility for your part in the creative process along with the "Whole Shabang"…that is where the rowing becomes not awful but a delicious transcendent mystical Groove Thing. So this rowing through the Groove leads me in so many directions and the feelings come and go and sometimes I just watch the magic unfold and can only be amazed and dive into the mix of all that is and all that ain't!
Whoop -de – doo….
…..I finished the piece that is for the Exhibition at the American Visionart Art Museum. The show opens in October. We are going to wrap the piece tomorrow and it should be shipped out by the end of the week. I spent a good amount of time on this piece and it was a real boost for my energy level. I really needed to cook nice and hot for awhile. I will be donating the piece as a part of their permanent collection at the museum…so this particular work is leaving home….this morning I had a deep insight into my relationship with this work. I saw my love affair with the unknown and my desire to follow the clues that the piece revealed to me as I moved along in the creative dance. It was quite magical…I am reminded of a drawing that a friend of mine gave me on my fortieth birthday…actually it was two drawings…on the bottom of the first drawing she wrote, "when the mind stops…." and on the bottom of the second drawing she wrote, "…the Mystery begins…". She was so right on that one….Thanks so much Prartho for that divine reminder….
