The above title is in reference to Lolita’s comment using a Rumi quote: "Be with those who help your Being". Thanks so much to Existance for my delightful bevy of friends. Included is a photo taken last year of Jimmy Ray and all of us…having a good old time…it was about this time last year. I have never laughed so hard in my life. Speaking of Laughter, Jennifer Grais (who is pictured here on her horse Solo) has the most exquisite laugh in all of San Miguel. She is a delight. She and her husband Michael are new friends and we love hanging around with them. As I heard once in the film "Children of Paradise", "the world is a small place for those who love"….Love to all!!!

That Social Scene Statement
I need to clarify what I meant about a certain "social scene". I went to a party recently and for some reason…I felt so out of place…the majority of the people there were unknown to me and I felt like I was at some Country Club in Texas or Tennessee or Who knows where. I found myself surrounded by all the reasons that I choose not to live in the United States…It seems all those reasons will always follow me around till I get the clue: Don’t let it bother me….So my choice is this…I am going where I feel comfortable and if I am in a social situation where I feel discomfort…I will comfortably disassociate myself from the situation and move on…back to the Groove…"easy is right"! That’s what the guy said (he said many things)…that will always mean a
lot to me.
Not So Old Not So In The Way
Life does start after 50…an example being these two happy men living a good, creative, colorful, and brilliantly sunny life outside of the American Ghetto now known as San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. We still are able to experience the feeling of Latin America out here at Casa las Ranas. May it remain so…may All Beings be able to explore their True Nature….may those of us whom meet in the heart feel the enrichment of soul pollination…may those whom we meet superficially ….agree that it is ok…and move on. Yesterday, I decided to do some more interior house cleaning….I am grateful for my friends, and the bounty
of these friendships is so important….the tired social scene no longer attracts me…such is Life.
Nothing is Real
Probably the most profound statement I have ever heard. I believe that came out of a Beatle’s song way back when….I wish I had really listened…but if I had listened? What would I be doing today? Typing in a blog? Playing with my cats? Enjoying Mexico? Building the Chapel? Loving Richard? Well, I promise to listen on a deeper level and try not to listen to the criticism that my mind manufactures…besides, Nothing is Real and there’s Nothing to get hung about…….Ya dig?
Bombs Away!
Well it is 5:30 am… Easter in Mexico…Fire crackers blowing up…Evil Spirits castaway!!!!!! And I am awake for every blast,,,,my eyes inches from the keyboard…Sueno…the cat…purrs and licks his yellow body next to me…oblivious to the noise….Richard is sound asleep…Good Morning, Viet…I mean Mexico! I wish I was riding a balloon hovering over a silent lake in Scotland….
…dribble…blah…blah…crumble…plunk…maybe I should go to work?
Scenes from Semana Santa
Out here in our neck of the woods…where the misquita trees moan, we’re just doing our thing. Building Casa kali, making stuff, seeing people, showing them around, making sales, freaking out now and then, moving and a-grooving to the beat of the God/Goddess of the Rhythm Within, plugging into Perpetual Vision as we reconcile with the hand that was dealt and sometimes we show our cards…especially now, cuz this is a special week in Mexico…and even if we don’t go to all the processions in town…the procession is still processing within…here are some photos from this past week. Me working on a furniture piece. Some delightful women who bought a bunch of necklaces. Carlos’ boys down at Casa Kali. Richard under the new roof completed last week….and Richard helping in the Studio doing some casting. Love to all!
